What This Position Is All About:

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that drive efficiency, cost savings, and superior store performance.
  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational consistency and effectiveness across locations.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize staffing models, labor management, and operational Workflows.

Store Support

  • Store Operations Process Support
  • Store Operations Process Training (for DVPs)
  • Store Operational Execution Compliance ( Rtv’s , Transfer, etc) Support for DVPs
  • Store Communications in StoreForce
  • Store Task Management in StoreForce
  • Executes Workload Planning Meeting
  • Supports DC / Transportation partnership for stores
  • Supports SFS Execution & training (for DVP’s)

Facilities Maintenance

  • Ticket Execution 
  • Facilities Budget Tracking &Adherence 
  • Housekeeping Strategy & Program  Execution  
  • Maintain Vendor Relationships / Drive Vendor Productivity 
  • EMS System Scheduling & Adherence

Project Management

  • Store Openings / Store Closings
  • Store Remodel/ Renovations 
  • Tech Rollouts (for hardware initiatives)

Customer Experience Excellence

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure the delivery of a consistent and exceptional in-store experience.
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction, aligning with Saks Off 5th’s brand values.
  • Establish and track performance metrics to evaluate the success of operational and customer experience initiatives.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.
  • Provide clear direction, set measurable goals, and regularly assess team performance against KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years in store-level retail operations, with at least 2-3 years in multi-unit leadership or regional operations role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex operations in a multi-location retail environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in retail systems, operational tools, and data analysis platforms.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $95,000 and $130,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
